In person workshop
Glass heat fused with Gold and Silver
Join with me, Joy Greenhalgh, a full time professional glass artist with 40 years of experience, for an intriguing day learning a series of fascinating skills . In this immersive and creative workshop, you will make a totally unique artwork which combines glass with 24ct Gold and Silver. This will be one circular piece 32.5 cm in diameter, with the fabulous range of colours, textures and effects shown in the examples on this page. The process used is to be found nowhere else, and offers you a glass workshop like no other. The results are absolutely exquisite, and something to truly treasure.
No previous experience of glass making is required - but you do need a steady hand.
For the professional glass maker, or for those with lots of experience this is a perfect opportunity to extend your skills and knowledge.
Designs are provided for you, or create your own design.
All materials are provided including Gold and Silver leaf, and a display stand for your finished artwork.
Also included is the kiln firing of your artwork. Return a few days later to collect your fired piece.
Hot drinks , cake and biscuits included - please bring lunch.
